Developing the QPS programs

ZinKlad and COVENTEC

The first big challenge for the QPS program is the merger of ZinKlad and COVENTEC. Both programs are well known in the market have an excellent reputation at OEM level and in the entire supply chain. Both programs stand for highest quality, reliable processes, and best customer support.

When having a closer look to both programs, there is just a small overlap, but a big part of addition, that makes the program even more complete. Before any changes take place, it is important to analyze both programs thoroughly, identify the benefits and develop the best future structure out of it. The best out of two worlds! But whatever we plan, we will make sure that no current approvals will get lost and that the automotive industry accepts the proposed changes. We will keep you regularly posted in the next newsletters.

Replacing hexavalent chromium

The replacement of hexavalent chromium in the automotive industry arrived at the next level, especially for decorative applications, like plating on plastics (POP) and decorative chromium plating on metals.

We believe that this is a good point in time, to extend the DecoKlad program accordingly. The recent acquisitions provided us with additional processes and additional experts – a nice recipe for further growth in a more demanding market.
