Galfa

Galfa GmbH & Co. KG has been approved as a ZinKlad 72 applicator for the phosphating of fasteners. With this approval, Galfa is the first ZinKlad 72 approved applicator in Germany with plating capacities to fulfil the largest volume needs of major OEMs.

Serving many industries including automotive, Galfa will use its ZinKlad 72 applicator status to deliver high-performance nickel-free phosphate coatings that exceed the demands of the automotive industry for fastener applications.

Superior processes and technical support

Due to superior technical support and plating process performance over many years, Galfa decided to trial MacDermid Enthone’s KeyKote phosphate processes. Convinced by the trial results, Galfa decided to install the full process into their modern, fully automatic phosphating lines. The company then made the decision to expand its existing ZinKlad 250 and MG/MGL approvals to also fulfil the requirements for the ZinKlad 72 program.

Based in the Brandenburg area, Finsterwalde, Galfa employs more than 230 people in Germany and Poland, offering coatings for functional surfaces in the fields of cathodic corrosion protection and thread locking.
